Çalış beach is a Caretta caretta nesting zone. We picked our brand name for that reason: keeping a 50 m clearance from nests is our day-one rule and our last-day rule.

Why FinPaddle Fethiye?
Çalış beach has been one of the Mediterranean's shallowest, calmest SUP coves for years. 1.5-metre depth across a 200-metre stretch, a glass-water 06:00–09:00 morning window, and the Meltemi thermal wind from 12:00–17:00 in the afternoon. The service was built around a simple scenario: instead of the holidaymaker walking to a shop and hauling a board, the gear comes to the beach.
FinPaddle Fethiye opens in 2026 with this idea. No shop, no seasonal markup — the board comes to you, the gear is set up, you just learn balance. Daily service May–October 06:00–22:00, WhatsApp reply target 15 minutes.

The team is local to Fethiye and knows Çalış and the bay from years of personal paddling. We come to the beach by vehicle: Çalış mid-beach, Fethiye Bay (Karagözler) and on request Ölüdeniz, Kayaköy, Yanıklar and Günlüklü.
Our standard is gear- and process-led: Red Paddle Co Ride 10'6" boards refreshed each season, CE-approved (EN ISO 12402-5) Plastimo Trophy 50N life vest, 16 mm coil leash, 5-minute beach briefing, and a wind 4-knot cancellation policy. Payment is on the beach after you take the gear; we hold your ID card or a cash deposit — both are returned when the board is handed back.

Eco Respect
We collect every piece of trash we bring to the beach. During Caretta caretta nesting season we don't approach nesting zones.
Equipment Standard
12 boards, all 320 cm × 81 cm × 15 cm allround inflatable. Brand of choice: Red Paddle Co (UK) Ride 10'6" — ISO 6185-1 standard, dual air chamber, 4-layer drop-stitch. New boards at season opener, 4-season target service life.
Vest: Plastimo Trophy 50N (CE EN ISO 12402-5). Leash: BIC Sport 9' coil. Pump: Bravo SUP HP3 manual + electric backup. Each board calibrated at season opener, freshwater rinse after every use.
Safety Standard
A weather check runs before every outing (forecast wind above 4 knots = cancel or shift to the morning window), a 5-minute beach briefing is mandatory, life vest and leash mandatory. Direct WhatsApp line with Coast Guard 158, and a basic first-aid kit is in our beach team's bag at every outing.

Çalış beach is one of the Caretta caretta sea-turtle nesting zones in Türkiye. From May to September we'll keep 50 m clearance from nesting areas during night sessions and minimize paddle-stroke noise. That's why our brand is called FinPaddle Fethiye.

When are you opening?
May 1, 2026 — this is our first commercial season. We're a new brand, but we know Çalış beach and Fethiye Bay from years of personal paddling.
Why should I trust a new business?

You pay on the beach after handing the gear over. We hold your ID card or a cash deposit — both returned when the board is back.
Can I do this as a complete beginner?
Yes. Çalış beach is roughly 1.5 metres deep across a 200-metre stretch; if you fall, you can stand and remount. We give a 5-minute briefing on the beach: paddle grip, balance position, stop, turn. A typical new paddler finds balance in the first 15 minutes.
What happens if the weather turns?
We check the weather before every outing. If forecast wind exceeds 4 knots we postpone or shift the outing to the 06:00–09:00 glass-water morning window. You can change date free of charge with 24-hour notice, or get a full refund.
How large a group can you handle?
Up to 12 boards at once. For larger groups (corporate events, wedding after-parties) email us 48 hours ahead; we source extra boards via our partner network.
